it's been a while...

I haven't been doing much lately besides working and sitting outside of Espresso Royale reading Harry Potter books, but it has been a pleasant last few days, all potential sickness aside. I had a slight mono scare after Phil got it and I realized that recently we have shared a few cigarettes and smoked together once, and then I had a sore throat and felt all-around awful. After a lot of sleep, however, I am starting to feel better and very thankful that it wasn't mono.

Fun things I have been doing:
1. Saw "Batman Begins" with Karen, Phil, Jason, and Marny.
2. Played stoned Trivial Pursuit last night with Zak, Anna, and Caroline.
3. Lots of creepy guy-free Espresso Royale time, running into lots of people, including Anna, Anne, Zak, Dan, and others...

I have been spending most of my free time on State Street reading lately, which has been good, but means that I am spending way too much money every day on food and coffee. I must cut back on that because it is becoming ridiculous and I can't afford it, so I've been trying to bring food from home now.

Received post cards from Jaime and Terry in South Dakota and Cat in...South Dakota as well, sounds like they are all having a great time looking at the landforms and other physical geography stuff there. It would be very exciting if I could get a job at one of the parks there, even if it does sound much less thrilling than a larger national park, because it seems like I could have a little more responsibility at a smaller park and seeing Jaime and Terry part-way through the summer could definitely help curb some of the homesickness that I will probably feel after being away by myself since January.
